MASSAGE CAMP REPORT
A free massage camp has been conducted at theHealthCenterthis year for the children, staff and retired people of TCV from June 14 to June 19, 2012 by the renowned massage therapist fromJapanMrs. Izumi Egawa sang and her 7 Tibetan students. The same group had conducted massage therapy for the last several years at Baby Home, Old People Home, Tsa Camp and Children’s Homes. This year the total of 145 students and 80 staff and retired staff took the opportunity to take part in the camp and they found it very helpful in relieving pains and restoring muscle disorders. Everyone was delighted and very appreciative of this wonderful social service.
During the refreshment breaks, Mrs. Egawa Sang and her Japanese friends even taught her students how to make soap at Homes for domestic purpose. That had been a very nice learning experience for her massage students.
At the end of the program, as a gesture of gratitude a farewell dinner party has been hosted to them and Mrs. Egawa has very kindly awarded Clinical Body Care Massage Certificate to her 7 students.
