The 124th birth anniversary of the first prime minister of our host country India Pt. Jawahal Nehru was celebrated as “Children’s Day” in TCV. Children’s day is celebrated with much vigor and festivity involving all our staff in making the day enjoyable and memorable for our children. It is customary in all our branches to make the day very special for our loved ones and our children in TCV.

The much waited event kick start with a formal function in Herman Gameinner auditorium. The chief guest was our general secretary Mr. Thupten Dorjee and our very special guest are the head boy and the head girl with their team of students council and of course the general students from baby home to the hostels. After the formal speeches by the chief guest, staff representative and the principal, 2014 team of students council members were introduced and took the oath of allegiance and commitment for the discharge of their duties. Children than met in their respective sections and entertaining games were organized for Junior and Infant students. All the children were given special treat with muffin and chocolate cake that were made from our bakery. The weather was in our favour making the outdoor activities very interactive and enjoyable. Children’s day special lunch was prepared by our home mothers and showed the best cooking skill that they possess. After the lunch a quality fiesta of musical show was arranged in the packed hall. Soon after the musical show a friendly football match was organized. In the evening our hall roared with glee and laughter when our staff presented a very hilarious one act-act “OH! MY GOD”.  The event ended with songs presented by our senior staff.
