Under the able leadership of school captain Tamding Thar and Norbu Dolma, the student council along with the senior students organized STAFF DAY very efficiently with a touch of sincerity and strong bondage of love and respect. Staff members had a day off and were kept very busy with series of programs which distracted us from our serious work. This has rejuvenated our spirit and cemented our relationship with our students with strong bondage.

As a part of the celebration for the expression of our gratitude to His Holiness the Dalai Lama the program began with lightening of lamps by the chief guest – retired colonel Penpa Tsering – the secretary Tibetan Homes Foundation and TCV president Mr. Tsewang Yeshi. This was followed by scarf offering by all the students and student council.

The formal function began with introductory speeches by the captains and prefects and concluded with key note speech by the chief guest Retired Colonel Penpa Tsering. Like any defense personnel his deliberation focused on diligence, discipline and health.

Owing to continues downpour, the school council very smartly launched their plan B and kept us all engaged with various entertaining games that filled the hall with laughter and smiles. Dekyi Tsering Hall wore a complete new look with very attractive decoration and staff were ushered in and served a very relishing luncheon.

In the midst of heavy shower there was football match between staff and students. Being the staff day students were very considerate and let staff stride the field proudly by winning over students. The evening program in the hall took us to the entertainment world and showed us songs and dances that the present generation follows like their own shadow.

THANK YOU FOR THE GOOD TIME WE HAD IN THE MIDST OF OUR HEAVY DUTY.
