Introductory Program on the ‘Students Entrepreneurial Club’: April 16
Upper TCV in collaboration with TED Initiative of Department of Finance – CTA organized an introductory program on the Students Entrepreneurial Club at the Herman Gminer Auditorium on the 16th April, 2015 from 11:15 am to 1:30pm. The function was held in the presence of the honorable Finance minister (Kalon), Mr. Tsering Dhundup, TED Coordinator – Mr. khenrab, the school principal – Mr. Namdol Tashi , Senior section headmistress – Mrs Nawang lhamo, and Commerce teachers along with 408 students of class XII and XI.
The key note speaker during the function was the Finance minister Mr. Tsering Dhundup who briefed the students on the importance and purpose of initiating the 1st Entrepreneurial club in the UTCV and the role of entrepreneurs for the development of the exile Tibetan society. Kalon Tsering Dhondup la strongly emphasized the significance of economic well being in sustaining the core values of the Tibetans.
Mr. Tenzin Norsang, the student entrepreneurship and program officer of TED gave a power-point presentation on the Entrepreneurial club and its time line on introducing such club in other exile Tibetan schools. His presentation focused mainly on motivating students to be more creative and innovative. The program ended with vote of thanks from Mr. Namdol Tashi, Principal.
