REPORT ON ANTI- BULLYING DAY

The aim of the program is to reduce and get rid of bullying in the School. Various programs were held in all three sections on the day. Anti-bullying badges were distributed to all the students which says (I am buddy, I am not bully). Teachers were seen wearing pink, blue or purple colour dress as requested, to symbolize (UNITED WE STAND AGAINST BULLYING).
In the senior section, the programs were carried out during the assembly. The program started with a power point presentation on bullying by some senior students followed by experience sharing on bullying by Tenzin Choeyang Class VIII, Anti-Bulling song by class VIII S students and a skit on Anti -Bullying by class VII students respectively. Geshe Ahaten‘s, our philosophical teacher gave a brief talk on Anti-Bullying from the Buddhist perspective. A poster competition on bullying was held from class VI TO XI. The posters were displayed in senior and junior section campus. The best poster were awarded prizes.
In the Junior section, Gen Bhuchung la as requested by the Headmaster gave a talk on Bullying during the assembly. During the 6th period, a skit was presented by Class VII G students on the theme “Types of Bullying” followed by video clips on sexual abuse (Good Touch and Bad Touch) to the children and a brief talk on the topic by Mrs. ChoezomTsering.
Mrs. Tsering Chodon talked on Anti bullying concept through story telling (ugly Duckling) and introduced the concept of bullying and handling methods to the Infant section students from 11.30 am to 12.30pm.
Besides these, street Play by class VI S and class VIII S were done during lunch break at school basket ground. We hope that the day will bring a positive impact on the school and lead to a free bully environment.
