Nancy Pelosi visits TCV- April 9, 2017
Longtime friend of His Holiness the Dalai Lama and very strong supporter of Tibet – Ms. Nancy Pelosi and US Congressional delegation visited TCV for the second time today after the gap of eight years. They drove straight to TCV after a brief meeting with His Holiness the Dalai Lama. Children and staff organized a very touching reception to the delegates. The entire field was filled with our children in traditional dress with multi coloured flags of Tibet, US and India. As the delegates walked past our children they waved their flags to welcome them and also to thanked them for their kind support for our cause. They were received by our president Mr. Thupten Dorjee with traditional scarf and offering of barley and milk while our dance troupe Tashi Sholpa performed throughout their passage through our children to our Montessori section. This short and quick visit by the Nancy Pelosi and US Congressional delegates to TCV means a lot not only to the children but to the entire people of Tibet who love freedom, democracy and liberty as they truly live by it and wished for us to aspire.
